This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all WhatsApp ePaper subscription services offered by Express Newspapers (Ceylon) Private Limited. By subscribing to the service, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below.

1. Subscription Access

Upon successful payment confirmation, subscribers will receive access to the WhatsApp ePaper service. ePapers are delivered via WhatsApp Business API on a daily or weekly basis, depending on the selected publication and subscription plan.

Access is considered activated immediately upon successful payment processing.

2. Subscription Plans

We currently offer the following subscription plans:

  • Monthly
  • 3-Month
  • 6-Month
  • Annual

Subscriptions are presently set for manual renewal. Auto-renewal may be introduced in the future with clear customer consent and appropriate verification mechanisms.

3. Refund & Cancellation Policy
3.1 General Policy

As this is a digital subscription service that provides immediate access to content, all subscriptions are generally non-refundable once payment has been successfully processed and access has been activated.

Subscribers may cancel their subscription at any time. However, cancellation will only stop future renewals. Access to the WhatsApp ePaper service will continue until the end of the paid subscription period.

Cancellation after activation does not entitle the subscriber to any full or partial refund, except in the limited circumstances outlined below.

3.2 Exceptional Refund Circumstances

Refunds will only be considered under the following exceptional situations:

  • Duplicate payments
  • Payment processing errors
  • Failure of service delivery due to a verified technical fault attributable to the Company

If a refund is approved under the above conditions, it will be processed without deduction of payment gateway charges.

Refund requests must be submitted within three (3) days from the date of subscription activation.

The Company reserves the right to review each request on a case-by-case basis and make the final decision.

4. Technical & Delivery Issues

If delivery of the ePaper is interrupted due to technical issues, changes in the subscriber’s phone number, WhatsApp settings, device issues, or internet connectivity problems, the Company will make reasonable efforts to restore service or resend the ePaper where possible.

Subscribers are responsible for ensuring that their registered mobile number and WhatsApp account remain active and properly configured.

5. Payment Information

Payments are securely processed via Sampath Bank Internet Payment Gateway (IPG).

Subscriptions may be purchased in:
